Abstract
An architectural tour that combines architecture and its representations can be somewhat embarrassing, unless it is low-key and solitary, or highly mediatised. Almost all the architecture we see—indoors and in many cases outdoors—is accompanied by spoken, written, drawn, digitised and printed representations. These representations are both true to the people they depict, because otherwise they would be dishonest, and different, because other- wise they would be useless. This practice is ancient. It may reflect a long-standing distrust of architecture.
