Abstract
The architect Bruno Albert (1941 - ) talks to two female architecture students in January 2016. He looks back on his formative years, his collaborations with Charles Vandenhove and René Greisch, his teaching career, his participation in the project for the CHU-University Hospital Centre of Sart-Tilman (Liège), as well as some of his own work: Gazon-Nelles house (Sourbrodt, 1967-68), Notre-Dame school (Malmedy, 1981), Blanc-Gravier sports centre (Liège, 1982-1984), Herzet house (Esneux, 1985), Mardaga printing works (1986), COB bank (Herstal, 1986), Ilot Saint-Michel (Liège), KNSM-Barcelona Plein housing complex (Amsterdam, 1989-1993). This exchange becomes the occasion for Bruno Albert to express himself on the questions of standardisation, prefabrication and architectural structures, on his collaborations with artists, to share his influences and his opinion on certain contemporary architectures, as well as on the poetic mission of architecture.
